Chennai Super Kings defeated Rajasthan Royals by 45 runs on Monday night to register their second win in IPL 2021. all-rounder Moeen Ali played an important role in this victory of CSK. During the batting, he hit 26 runs with the help of two sixes in 20 balls and after bowling, he took three wickets for 7 runs in three overs.
Moeen Ali was awarded the Man of the Match award for this outstanding performance. Moeen, who arrived for the award, praised his captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni openly.
Moeen Ali said after the match “Dhoni gives you complete freedom under his captaincy to do everything you can and want to do. Bowling with Jadeja is fun in itself.”
He further added “I am being sent up the batting order, so I am able to do fast batting as per my style. I am also enjoying bowling. We got a dry ball and there were two batsmen in front, it also helped me met.”
Let us tell you, Chennai Super Kings, while batting first, scored 188 runs in the prescribed 20 overs at the loss of 9 wickets. For CSK, du Plessis had scored the highest innings of 33 runs, while Chetan Sakariya had the most three wickets for Rajasthan.
Barring Jos Butler from the Rajasthan team, none of the batsmen could score runs. Butler played a blistering inning of 49 runs in the opener. Rajasthan’s team was able to score only 143 for 9 wickets in 20 overs. Apart from Moeen Ali (3 wickets), Jadeja and Sam Curran took two wickets each for CSK.
