Ravi Shastri: MS Dhoni should do wicketkeeping in Team India for WTC Final 2023. After IPL 2023, the final (WTC Final 2023) match of the World Test Championship will be played between India and Australia (IND vs AUS) on June 7 at The Oval in England.

In the midst of this debate, Ravi Shastri, the former head coach of the Indian team, was questioned about Mahendra Singh Dhoni. To which Shastri has given a brilliant answer.

Responding to a question on ESPNcricinfo about Dhoni guiding the World Test Championship, the former coach said, ‘Absolutely yes’.

He has shown a lot of young wicket-keepers how to keep, especially through IPL.

He further added that he never plays for records or stats. Dhoni had made up his mind to quit Test cricket, so no one could change his decision.

Could have easily played Test cricket for one to one and a half years:-

Shastri further said, once Dhoni makes up his mind, no one can stop him. He could have easily played Test cricket for one to one and a half years.

He could have said goodbye to the longer format of cricket in front of a crowd after playing 100 Tests. But he didn’t want that. He suddenly raised his hands in his style and retired.
