Former BCCI President Sourav Ganguly confirmed that Jhulan Goswami has signed with Mumbai Indians. Ganguly, who is now back as the Director of Cricket of Delhi Capitals, proposed Jhulan. However, the leading wicket-taker in ODIs has picked up an offer from Mumbai Indians.

Earlier, reports suggested that both Jhulan and Mithali were keen to return to the field for the inaugural season. Delhi Capitals had been eyeing Goswami for a long time. Since last year, the Capitals have kept Goswami on their radar to take over as the bowling coach for the upcoming IPL 2023 season.

The 40-year-old retired from international cricket last year
The 40-year-old retired from international cricket last year after a farewell game at Lord’s. She took 355 international wickets across all formats, the most by any bowler in women’s cricket.
