Pakistan Announces A New Captain For The Women’s Team. Pakistan has appointed a new captain in place of Bismah Maroof, who resigned from the captaincy after the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023.

All-rounder Nida Dar named alongside Mark Coles:-

Veteran all-rounder Nida Dar has been named as Pakistan’s captain alongside Mark Coles.

He was also confirmed as the new head coach, a role he previously held between 2017 and 2019.

Having played 130 T20Is and 99 ODIs, Dar is one of the most experienced players in the Pakistan setup and is the leading wicket-taker in women’s T20Is.

Named as the chairman of the women’s selection committee:-

In another change, former Test cricketer Salim Jaffer was named as the chairman of the women’s selection committee.

“I would like to congratulate Nida, Mark and Salim on their appointments. Nida is an experienced and highly respected player,” said PCB chairman Najam Sethi.

Mark has a proven track record in coaching women’s cricket and Saleem brings with him a wealth of international experience and knowledge.

“I would also like to thank Bismah Maroof for his services as the captain of the team. He has done a fantastic job.
