Bangladesh is in bad condition before Asia Cup 2022, many players got injured

Dhaka: Bangladesh pacer Hasan Mahmood and all-rounder Mehdi Hasan suffered injuries on Saturday during a practice session ahead of the 2022 Asia Cup. While Mahmood had to leave the field with a heel injury, Mehdi suffered a leg injury and walked off the field staggeringly. Both Mehan and Mahmood were practicing with teammates at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur. Hasan got injured while fielding and needs rest for the next few days.

The pacer will have to undergo an MRI scan to know the severity of his injury. Mahmood will no longer be able to participate in Bangladesh’s practice matches ahead of the Asia Cup. As far as Mehdi is concerned, he got injured while bowling to Mosaddek Hossain Saikat at the nets. Saikat played a shot close to the ground and Mehdi could not move his leg. He went out of the training ground and applied ice on his feet.

Hassan, who captained Bangladesh, suffered an injury during the second T20 International in Harare

The last few weeks have not been good for Bangladesh. Nurul Hasan Sohan is recovering from a finger injury. Hassan, who captained Bangladesh in Zimbabwe, suffered an injury during the second T20 International in Harare. After this, he was ruled out of the last T20 International match and the three ODI series.

Liton Das, one of the top run-scorers for Bangladesh this year, suffered a hamstring injury on the tour of Zimbabwe and has been ruled out of the Asia Cup. Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan will hope that they get a strong team in the Asia Cup. Bangladesh has to play its first match in the Asia Cup on 30 August.
