Former India coach was Upset with ‘Hard Hitting’of Deepak Hooda, wanted to keep him Away from the Training Session!

New Delhi, Online Desk. Deepak Hooda is on a tour of Zimbabwe these days where he has made a unique record which no Indian batsman has. In fact, since Hooda’s debut, he has not faced a single defeat. The third and last match against Zimbabwe was the 17th match of his career. It was his 17th win since Hooda made his debut in international cricket.

Even during his Under-19 days, he used to come and ask, ‘Sir, let’s do power-hitting sessions’. He likes it. Talking further, he said that ‘many coaches did not want to go to the practice session with him due to his hard hitting and used to refuse. He would often hit the ball outside the stadium. I used to tell him that you are not coming with me to the practice session because you hit outside the stadium and I lose my expensive Kookaburra ball.

Deepak Hooda may not have got a lot of batting opportunities against Zimbabwe but he is also named in the Asia Cup squad. If he gets a chance in the last eleven, it is expected that Hooda will be able to do wonders with his bat in the Asia Cup.
