The BCB will decide on Russell Domingo’s future as Bangladesh head coach on August 22. Board chairman Najmul Hasan has indicated that Bangladesh is “trying to separate” roles and Russell Domingo may continue as Test and ODI coach. Hasan had said a few days ago that the BCB is looking to make “substantial changes” ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup.

the situation between BCB and Domingo is not good for the last 12 months

It is understood that the situation between BCB and Domingo is not good for the last 12 months. Bangladesh’s recent defeat in the T20I and ODI series in Zimbabwe has added to the tension. BCB’s Cricket Operations President Jalal Younis even said earlier this month that Domingo was not aggressive enough as a coach in the T20 format.

Domingo is also set to take part in the BCB discussions to be held on Monday

“We haven’t decided on (Domingo),” Hassan said on Friday. “We’ll sit together on August 22nd, and then we’ll decide. There will be a lot of changes. Not just one or two. Whether or not we’ll include Russell Domingo in our changes will be decided on August 22nd. We’ll make that day Listen everyone. For now, we want Domingo to focus on Tests and ODIs. We are trying to do everything differently

“There is so much cricket here that it is difficult for Domingo to focus on three formats. He may not even go into a few series if you look at our contract with him. He has specific breaks. We have to keep these things in Will’s mind. It’s not that easy.”
