SA vs NZ, Quinton de Kock: Maintaining his excellent form in the ICC World Cup 2023, South African opener Quinton de Kock scored a brilliant century against New Zealand at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.

De Kock’s fourth century in World Cup 2023 :-

De Kock played a brilliant inning of 114 runs in 116 balls. In this innings he hit 10 fours and 3 sixes. The in-form Proteas opener completed his fourth century in the World Cup 2023 with this century.

Also, with this century, Quinton de Kock has joined Rohit Sharma and Kumar Sangakkara in the list of great batsmen. De Kock has become the third player to score four centuries in a single edition of the ODI World Cup.

Indian captain Rohit has scored the most centuries in a single edition of the 50-over World Cup. He scored five centuries in the 2019 edition of the ICC World Cup. Former Sri Lankan batsman Sangakkara had achieved the feat of four centuries in the 2015 World Cup.

Also, due to this power, De Kock also became the first batsman to complete 500 runs in the World Cup 2023.

Most sixes as a wicketkeeper-batsman in ODI World Cup :-

Apart from this, De Kock has also become the player who has hit the maximum number of 22 sixes as a wicketkeeper-batsman in the ODI World Cup. He also has the most runs by a wicketkeeper in a World Cup edition with 545 runs.

De Kock also holds the record for the highest individual score of 174 runs in the ODI World Cup 2023.

Quinton de Kock said after the match against New Zealand, “I have been feeling really good recently. It’s good that everything is coming together at an important time for us. My career is coming to an end, I’m trying to bat as well as I can,” he said.
