MUMBAI: Whenever there is an IPL match between five-time champion Mumbai Indians and four-time champion CSK, it is filled with excitement for fans and cricket lovers. On Thursday, both the teams are once again face to face in the IPL.

Former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, who has been a part of both the teams in the IPL, feels that the MI vs CSK match gives him the feel of an India-Pakistan match as emotions are at a high level. Compared to the last season, where both the teams are at the bottom of the points table, Chennai have just one win in their six matches.

Neither match between two IPL giants gives the spirit of India-Pakistan competition

Mumbai have yet to win a single win in IPL 2022 in their six attempts. Thursday’s clash at the DY Patil Stadium will lead to either team Chennai or Mumbai. He further said, ‘It felt strange when I wore the CSK jersey (in 2018) for the first time after sitting in the Mumbai Indians dressing room for 10 years (2008-17). For me, both the teams have been very special. The match between these two IPL stalwarts gives the spirit of India-Pakistan competition.

On cricket, Harbhajan said, “When I first stepped on the field against MI, I praying for the match to end soon because there emotion. And a lot of pressure involved in that match. Luckily that match ended early and CSK won it.

Despite losing six matches, Mumbai middle-order batsmen Suryakumar Yadav. And Dewald Brevis excited to be a part of the ‘El Clasico’ clash in IPL 2022.
