ICC ODI World Cup 2023: After scoring his 49th century, Virat said, “It is an honor to equal my hero’s record.” Virat Kohli scored the 49th century of his ODI career while playing against South Africa in the World Cup.
Sachin is One Century Away From Breaking The World Record:-
With this century, he has equaled Sachin Tendulkar in terms of most centuries in ODI cricket and is now one century away from breaking Sachin’s world record.

After reaching this milestone, Sachin Tendulkar congratulated him and also wished him to complete his 50th century soon. After the match, Virat Kohli, while giving feedback on the appreciation he received from Sachin, said that he is his childhood hero and it is a great honor to equal the hero’s record.
People Made These Innings More Special On My Birthday:-
Kohli said after the match, “It was a big match. Playing well against South Africa, who appeared to be the strongest team in the tournament so far, was an inspiration to perform well. People made this inning more special on my birthday. I got a different feeling from this.
When opening batsmen start in that fashion, you would think it was a belter. Conditions keep changing with the old ball.
We knew we would score around 315. “I have started enjoying my game again, which is very important at this time and I am able to make important contributions to my team again.”
