David Warner crossed the 500 mark for the second time in the World Cup :-

Australian openers Warner and Travis Head stitched a 60-run partnership for their team in Kolkata to chase down the low but challenging target of 213 runs set by South Africa in the semi-final match.

Batting at a strike rate of 161, Warner scored 29 runs in 18 balls against the South African team in Kolkata. Thanks to this inning, Warner was successful in crossing the 500-run mark for the second time in the World Cup. Earlier, Warner had crossed the 500-run mark for the first time in the 2019 World Cup.

The players who have scored more than 500 runs for Australia in the World Cup are Ricky Ponting, Matthew Hayden and Aaron Finch, but not a single player among them could repeat this feat.
