India performed brilliantly in the semi-finals and defeated New Zealand by 70 runs to reach the World Cup final for the fourth time.
After scoring 397/4 in 50 overs with the help of centuries from Virat Kohli (117) and Shreyas Iyer (105), India defeated New Zealand in 48.5 overs with the help of lethal bowling by Mohammed Shami (57/7). Registered a spectacular victory by totaling 327 runs.
