ICC ODI World Cup 2023: Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Aamir has once again targeted Babar Azam. ‘Babar’s mentality is harming the team’, Aamir got angry at the Pakistan captain, harshly said.

Azam’s Mentality is Harming The National Team:-

31-year-old Aamir believes that there is no need for change in the system of Pakistan cricket, but Babar Azam’s mentality is harming the national team.

Aamir said this during a conversation in Geo News show ‘Harna Mana Hai’. He believes that captaincy matters a lot.

Not only this, Aamir has also strongly criticized former Pakistan Cricket Board chief Rameez Raja. Raja had recently said that there is a need for change in the system of Pakistan cricket. Apart from this, he also supported the captaincy of Babar Azam.

Aamir said, ‘What is the system? This is not a wall. Five to six people have been given the responsibility to run Pakistan cricket. The captain is also one of them.

‘In 1992 We Won The World Cup Under The Leadership Of Imran Khan:-

Mohammad Aamir further said, ‘In the year 1992, we won the World Cup under the leadership of Imran Khan. The system was the same. In 1999 our team reached the finals.

We won the T20 World Cup title in 2009 under this system. We won the Champions Trophy in 2017 under this system.

Aamir gave the example of England and Jos Buttler to explain why he does not need changes in the system. Let us tell you that in the World Cup 2023, the situation of the England team was more delicate than that of Pakistan. Under the leadership of Butler, the team was considered a strong contender for the title, but the team could not even reach the semi-finals.

The fast bowler further said, ‘Babar has been the captain for the last four years. He has chosen his team as per his wish. Buttler is not part of our system, then why did England play so badly? Is there a need for change in the arrangement of England also?

Morgan Said Which Brand Of Cricket I Want To Play:-

He further gave the example of Morgan. Aamir said, ‘After the defeat in 2015, Morgan asked which brand of cricket I want to play. I want these 25 players. The system remained the same, it was the captain who changed the entire mentality.

Aamir further said, ‘The England cricket team was struggling in Test cricket for the last two years under the leadership of Joe Root, but is making waves under the leadership of Stokes.

The system is the same, but we say that Test cricket in England has changed. This is Ben Stokes, who has simply changed his approach.
