ICC ODI World Cup 2023: Ibrahim Zadran became the first Afghan batsman to score a century in the World Cup. Zadran has become the first Afghan batsman to score a century in the ICC ODI World Cup.

Ibrahim This Achievement By Scoring His Fifth ODI Century:-

Zadran achieved this feat by scoring his fifth ODI century with the help of 7 fours in 131 balls against Australia on 7 November.

Opening for the Afghan team after winning the toss, Zadran batted brilliantly by holding one end firmly and completed his historic century by taking 2 runs off Hazlewood on the last ball of the 44th over.

Rashid Remained Unbeaten After Scoring 35 Runs:-

Before Zadran, the highest score for Afghanistan in the World Cup was made by Samiullah Shinwari while playing an inning of 96 runs against Scotland in the 2015 World Cup.

Ibrahim Zadran played an unbeaten inning of 129 runs in 143 balls with the help of 8 fours and 3 sixes, with the help of which Afghanistan scored a huge score of 291 runs in 50 overs. Apart from Zadran, Rashid Khan remained unbeaten after scoring 35 runs in 18 balls with the help of 2 fours and 3 sixes.

Left Behind Even Great Batsmen Like Tendulkar And Kohli:-

Ibrahim Zadran scored a century at the age of 21 years and 330 days. Becoming the fourth youngest batsman to score a century in the ODI World Cup. In this matter, he left behind even great batsmen like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.

Zadran has become the fourth youngest batsman to score a century against Australia. Zadran overtook De Kock in this matter and only Mohammad Ashraful, and Sachin Tendulkar. And David Gower has scored centuries against Australia at a younger age.
