Virat Kohli gift to Roelof van der Merwe: Team India finished their league campaign as the only unbeaten team in the ongoing World Cup 2023. Rohit Sharma and company defeated Netherlands by 160 runs in their final league stage match in Bengaluru on Sunday.
Virat Kohli and Rohit took one wicket each :-
Chasing 411 runs, the Dutch team was all out for 250 runs in 47.5 overs thanks to two wickets each from Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli and Rohit also took one wicket each. Initially, India scored 410/4 in 50 overs with the help of two centuries from Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul.
Iyer scored 128* runs in 94 balls with the help of 10 sixes and five fours. Rahul scored 102 runs in 64 balls, which included 11 fours and two sixes. Meanwhile, Rohit (61), Gill (51) and Kohli (51) also scored half-centuries.

After the match, Kohli won the hearts of fans with a heart-touching gesture as he handed over his jersey to former RCB player Roelof van der Merwe, who took his wicket in the first innings. The ICC shared a video of the moment on Instagram, and there were also short clips of an emotional Dutch team thanking the fans.
Netherlands out of Champions Trophy qualification :-
The defeat left the Netherlands bottom of the table, missing out on Champions Trophy qualification along with ninth-placed Sri Lanka. India finished the league stage on top and will face New Zealand in the semi-finals on November 15 in Mumbai.
