Ind vs Pak: Shubman Gill was admitted to the hospital, with a decrease in platelet count, and may be out of India vs Pakistan match also

Star batsman Shubman Gill, suffering from dengue fever, has been admitted to a hospital in Chennai. Team India’s opener was admitted on Monday morning and is being treated by doctors at Cauvery Hospital in Chennai.

Gill did not play in the first match against Australia

Gill, who did not play in the first match against Australia. He is now out of India’s match against Afghanistan and he is now likely to be out of the India vs Pakistan match to be held in Ahmedabad on Saturday. This information has been given in the report of Cricbuzz.

Gill is also being treated by Dr Rizwan Khan from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), who is traveling with the team.

According to this report, Gill’s platelet count has decreased for a few days. This is why he did not go with the team to Delhi, where India has to play its second World Cup match against Afghanistan.

The team management was medically advised to keep Shubhman away from flying because his platelet count was low. Earlier on Monday, BCCI had confirmed in a statement that he will not play in the Delhi match.

It is difficult for Shubman Gill to play in the India vs Pakistan match

Some members of the Indian team had met Shubman Gill after reaching Chennai on October 4. Initially, Gill was at the team hotel, where the medical staff at Cavalli Hospital were checking his blood and monitoring his platelet count.

It is not yet decided whether Gill will play in India’s high-voltage match against Pakistan on October 14 or not.

The team management is hopeful that Gill will be healthy to play in the India vs Pakistan match. Team India missed Gill in the match against Australia on Sunday and its top-3 batsmen were out on the score of 2 runs.

Considering Shubman Gill’s strong performance for Gujarat Titans in the IPL at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. He will definitely be missed during the India-Pakistan match.

According to reports, if Gill’s condition improves then he can be released from the hospital and sent back to the hotel. If his health improves then he can go directly from Chennai to Ahmedabad and join the team.
