The 3 Pacers Of India Who Gave The Best in The Powerplay, Did Wonders in IPL, But All Three Are Out Of The World Cup Team! This IPL season has been all about big scores, with batsmen going crazy.

We’ve already seen 37 scores of 200+ in just 64 matches! Records are being smashed left, right, and center. But hold on, there have been some amazing bowling performances too.

Here’s the interesting part: 5 bowlers have taken 3 wickets in the powerplay (first 6 overs) so far, and guess what? 3 of them are Indians! The crazy bit? None of these 3 guys made it to the Indian team for the T20 World Cup!

Ishaan Sharma Goes Berserk!

In the Delhi Capitals vs Lucknow Super Giants match, Delhi batted first and put up a decent 208. Lucknow needed a strong bowling performance, and guess who stepped up?

Veteran pacer Ishant Sharma! He dismissed the dangerous KL Rahul in the very first over. Not done there, he sent back Quinton de Kock and Deepak Hooda in his next two overs, becoming the 5th bowler in IPL 2024 to take 3 wickets in the powerplay.

Sandeep Warrier & Tushar Deshpande Join the Party!

Before Ishant, Sandeep Warrier and Tushar Deshpande had already achieved this feat. Warrier, playing for Gujarat Titans, ripped through the Delhi Capitals batting order in the powerplay, taking 3 wickets for just 15 runs. Deshpande, on the other hand, did his magic for Sunrisers Hyderabad against the Hyderabad Sunrisers.

So Why Were They Not Picked for the World Cup?

Despite these impressive performances, all 3 Indian pacers were missing from the T20 World Cup squad. Did the selectors make a mistake? Let us know in the comments what you think!
