Asia Cup 2023: The PCB furious before the match against India due to the missing of Pakistan’s name from the team jersey. The Asia Cup 2023 was embroiled in a controversy when the name of the host Pakistan was missing from the jerseys of the participating teams.
Where Pakistan Beat Nepal:-
The tournament began on 30 August with a match between Pakistan vs Nepal in Multan. Where Pakistan defeated Nepal. The absence of Pakistan’s name on the other team’s jersey has angered the PCB.

Pictures of the jerseys of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh are going viral on social media and fans have expressed their disappointment over it.
Some also said that in the previous edition, Sri Lanka’s name was written below the Asia Cup logo despite the tournament being played in the United Arab Emirates as Sri Lanka was its original host.
Asia Cup 2023 is being Played in a Hybrid Model:-
This year, Asia Cup 2023 is being played in hybrid model and it is being hosted by Pakistan. Whereas India will also play host to Sri Lanka in all its matches.
Former Test batsman Mohsin Khan questioned, “It doesn’t make any sense. “Then why has ACC put the name of the host country on the logo of the Asian Emerging Nations Cup or the Asian Under-16 tournament held in Malaysia in July?”
Wearing the kit will be embarrassing for the Indian Team Players:-
News agency PTI quoted Mohsin Khan as saying, “Given the current situation between the two countries, perhaps the BCCI official felt that it would be embarrassing for the Indian team players to wear the kit with Pakistan’s name on the official logo of the Asia Cup.”
The clash between India vs Pakistan in Asia Cup 2023 will take place on 2nd September. Both the teams will play in this match at Pallekele Stadium in Kandy from 3 pm Indian time.

There may be competition in the India-Pakistan match. Because for the tournament, both the teams have included more than one player in their respective teams.
