IND vs ENG Test Series 2024: Why is Cheteshwar Pujara out of the team even after scoring a double-century? The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian team for the Test series between India and England.

This test series is going to start from 25th January. Many big players have been dropped from this test series. Which includes players like Mohammed Shami, Shardul Thakur, Ishan Kishan, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Ajinkya Rahane.

The most surprising name among these is that of Cheteshwar Pujara. Pujara is a very good batsman in test cricket. Pujara was also kept out of the Test series against South Africa. After which Cheteshwar Pujara turned to domestic cricket and staked claim to return to the team.

With his return to the Ranji Trophy, Cheteshwar Pujara played an amazing innings and answered the critics. Cheteshwar Pujara scored a double century in his very first match of Ranji Trophy 2024.
After which the fans were hopeful that now Pujara could return in the Test series against England. Despite this, the selectors have ignored him from the Test series with England.

After which now the big question is whether Pujara will ever return to Team India or whether Pujara’s international Test career is about to end.
Pujara’s statistics in Test cricket are much better and he also has a lot of experience playing against a big team like England, despite this, he has been dropped from the team.
Cheteshwar Pujara has been playing Test cricket for Team India for a long time but his performance for Team India has not been anything special for some time now.
