Yusuf was part of the Indian team that won the inaugural T20 World Cup in South Africa. Where he replaced Sehwag against Pakistan in the HT final and was also part of a formidable Indian team. That won the 2011 Wankhede World Cup. World Cup right. in 28 years.
Although he has never scored a half-century in T20 International cricket, he was an integral part of the Indian T20 team in the 2009 and 2012 T20 World Cups, due to all his abilities in bowling and especially batting. He played a total of 22 matches and scored 236 runs with the highest score of 37 and took 13 wickets in his short career.
He played his last T20 International in 2012 against South Africa where he did not bat and scored 9 runs in his only over.
