Jasprit Bumrah’s last international match was against England last month.

Update on Jasprit Bumrah

Apart from Jasprit Bumrah, fast bowler Harshal Patel also failed to make it to the Indian squad for the Asia Cup due to injury. Harshal is troubled by a rib injury and was last seen on the field against England. He has played 17 T20 Internationals so far and has taken 23 wickets in his bag. The BCCI has given the reason for the exclusion of Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal from the team. BCCI wrote on Twitter, ‘Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel were not available for selection due to injuries. He is currently on rehabilitation at NCA in Bengaluru.

Asia Cup to be played in UAE

The Asia Cup will be held in Dubai and Sharjah from August 27 to September 11. Which will be played in T20 format. It will be played hosted by Sri Lanka. Let us tell you that Sri Lanka decided to hold the Asia Cup in the UAE due to the economic and political crisis in the country. Which was confirmed by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) last month. A total of 6 teams will participate in the Asia Cup. Which includes Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, apart from India. UAE, Kuwait, Singapore and Hong Kong will play the qualifiers to participate as the sixth team.
