AUS vs PAK,1st Test: Aamir Jamal ‘s wonder in debut test match

AUS vs PAK 1st Test: Australia scored 487 runs in the first innings against Pakistan in the Perth Test match. Fast bowler Aamir Jamal, playing his debut Test match for Pakistan, created history by taking six wickets.

Two debutants did wonders :-

Jamal gave the sixth best performance for Pakistan in the debut test match, while if we talk about fast bowlers, it was the third best performance. Jamal took the wickets of David Warner, Travis Head, Alex Carey, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon. In the Perth Test match, David Warner scored 164 runs, while Mitchell Marsh was out after scoring 90 runs. Apart from Jamal, Khurram Shahzad also made his Test debut in this match and took two wickets.

Aamir Jamal became the 14th Pakistani bowler to do so: –

Jamal is the 14th Pakistani bowler to take five or more wickets in the debut test, while Jamal has become only the fifth Pakistani bowler to take five or more wickets in the debut test outside Pakistan.

Jamal is only the second bowler from Pakistan to take five or more wickets in his debut Test in Australia. Pakistan’s star fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi looked ineffective in the Perth Test. Shaheen took just one wicket for 96 runs in 27 overs. Faheem Ashraf also got the same success.
