BCCI is unhappy with Ishan Kishan, may soon take strict action to improve such players

Indian star wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan ‘s continuous reluctance to play first-class matches and being found training in Baroda with the new Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya before the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League is not at all pleasing to the BCCI, due to which Now BCCI is considering making it mandatory to play a minimum number of first class matches to be included in the IPL auction pool.

BCCI instructed Ishan Kishan to play for Jharkhand :-

Let us tell you that Jharkhand’s Ishan Kishan had earlier left the South Africa tour midway citing ‘travel fatigue’ and since then he has not participated in any Ranji match for his state team.

Also, BCCI has already instructed Ishan Kishan to play Jharkhand’s last group league match against Rajasthan in Jamshedpur.

A senior BCCI official told PTI :-

A senior BCCI official told PTI, the decision makers in BCCI are well aware that some players do not want to play red ball cricket. If he is out of the Indian team, it would be better if he plays a few Mushtaq Ali T20 matches and then avoids reporting for state team duty. There is a consensus that a strict policy needs to be followed so that a group of young players do not make ‘playing IPL from IPL’ a habit. ,

“To curb such players, there is every possibility that the Board will make it mandatory to play 3-4 Ranji Trophy matches failing which they will not be able to play the IPL or even be released by their franchises.” Will not be able to participate in IPL auction also.

It is also understood that the think-tank of the Indian team is also very unhappy with a certain section of players, who always shy away from playing Ranji Trophy even when they are fit.
