BCCI Umpires Test: The Board of Control for Cricket in India recently conducted the Level-2 Umpires Eligibility Test. This exam was for umpiring in women’s and junior matches. 140 candidates appeared in it and out of this 137 failed. There were 90 marks for the cut-off list out of 200. Out of 200, 100 were for written tests, 35 for viva and video, and 30 marks were for physical. The umpires did not even know the answers to many questions.

The player may be asked to stand still, otherwise, the umpire has the right to declare a dead ball. - You think the bowler’s injury is correct and if you remove the bandage then there is a possibility of bleeding. Even after this, would you ask the bowler to remove the tape and bowl?
Correct Answer: If the bowler wants to bowl then it is necessary to remove the tape. - The batsman played a shot and the ball got stuck in the helmet of the fielder standing at short leg. The helmet fell due to the ball, but the fielder caught it before the ball fell to the ground. Will the batsman be caught out?
Correct Answer: The batsman will be given not out.

Umpires get so much salary-
The career of an umpire starts from Group D itself. Let us tell you that the umpiring of Group D only opens the doors for you to officiate in national and international cricket. A BCCI official said about it, ‘The exam was difficult but we do not want to compromise on the quality. If you want to officiate in national and international matches, there can be no room for error. It is important to have complete knowledge of the rules and an understanding of the game. The BCCI has divided the umpires into five grades. The A+ and A+ group umpires are paid Rs 40,000 per day for a first-class match, while the B, C, and D group umpires are paid Rs 30,000 each day.
