Champions Trophy: The international schedule of the next phase has been released by the ICC. Team India to tour Pakistan! This big tournament will happen again after 8 years. A total of 777 matches will be played between the top 12 teams of the world in the FTP (Future Tour Program) cycle from 2023-2027. While a total of five major ICC tournaments will also be organized during this period. The ICC tournament will begin next year with the ODI World Cup in India in 2023. During this four years, a total of two ODI World Cups, two T20 World Cups and one more Champions Trophy will be held.

Champions Trophy will be organized in Pakistan

According to the FTP released by the ICC today i.e. on Wednesday, the Champions Trophy will be organized once again after eight years. This ICC tournament has been hosted by Pakistan, which will be held in 2025. This means that the Indian team will have to tour Pakistan. No bilateral series is being played between India and Pakistan for the last many years. Not only this, both the teams do not even tour each other. Usually, both the countries are seen playing with each other in ICC tournaments. But now it has to be seen whether the two countries visit each other for the upcoming ICC tournament.

Pak team will come to India

It is worth noting that India will host the ODI World Cup in 2023 before the Champions Trophy to be held in 2025, so Pakistan will have to tour here. But according to reports, Pakistan has discussed with the ICC regarding the visa.

India and Australia most successful team

Talking about the history of Champions Trophy, it has been eight seasons so far. In this, Australia and India have won the title twice. India won it in 2013 under Dhoni’s captaincy while in 2002-03 he had to share the trophy against Sri Lanka.

The last time this tournament was organized was in 2017 in England. At that time Team India had to face defeat at the hands of Pakistan in the final.

2023: ODI World Cup, (India)

2025: Champions Trophy, (Pakistan)
2026: T20 World Cup (India and Sri Lanka)
2027: One Day World Cup (Zimbabwe, South Africa and Namibi)
