Hasan Contested Elections From Sheikh Hasina’s Party Awami League:-

Bangladesh’s all-round cricketer Shakib Al Hasan contested the elections from Sheikh Hasina’s party Awami League. He scored a victory in the western city of Magura. Shakib was also born in Magura.

He defeated his opponent by a margin of more than 1.5 lakh votes. District Chief Administrator Abu Naser Baig has confirmed this.
