On the second day of the Mohali Test, India’s spinner Ravichandran Ashwin broke the record of New Zealand legend Sir Richard Hadlee and on the third day, Ashwin also broke the record of former India spinner and legend Kapil Dev.

IND vs SL 1st Test Match: On the second day of the rivalry on Saturday, Sri Lanka scored 108 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Indian spinner R Ashwin took 2 wickets in his name. With this, Ravichandran Ashwin has now taken 434 wickets in Test cricket.
He has left behind the great New Zealand cricketer Richard Hadlee (431). After this, on the third day, Ashwin equaled the record of former India captain Kapil Dev with the wicket of Pathum Nisanka.

Since then, Ravichandran took 435 wickets of his career by sending Charith Aslanka to the pavilion on the third ball of the 35th over. With this, Ashwin also broke Kapil Dev’s record by taking 434 wickets in Test cricket.
Ravichandran also completed the 434th wicket of his career by taking the wicket of Pathum Nisanka today.
Earlier, Kapil Dev was the highest wicket-taker in Test cricket from India. Now R Ashwin has broken his record and has made this record in his name.
