For the new season of the South Africa T20 League, the franchise has appointed former West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard as the new captain of Mumbai Indians Cape Town.
Earlier, the MI franchise had also made Kieron Pollard the captain of MI Emirates for ILT20.

Now, due to the almost simultaneous dates of SA20 and ILT20, West Indies explosive batsman Nicholas Pooran has been made the new captain of MI Emirates in ILT20 in place of Pollard.
