IPL RCB 2023: Josh Hazlewood will not play many matches after Glenn Maxwell. Things are not going well for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ahead of season 16 of the Indian Premier League.

Hazlewood will not be able to play many league matches:-

After the injury of Glenn Maxwell, now another player of the team, Josh Hazlewood, will not be able to play many matches of the league.

At the same time, due to injury, the Australian bowler has been ruled out of the last two Tests (IND vs AUS Test Series) against India.

Because of which he has returned home for treatment. However, it is not yet clear whether he will play the opening game for RCB in IPL 2023 or not.

Bothered me since Sydney test:-

• On the other hand, Hazlewood said about his injury, it has bothered me since the Sydney Test. I was bowling well for the tour at home.
• But maybe it didn’t go well. So we felt that I am not quite ready to take on the workload.”
• Hazlewood has been RCB’s most consistent bowler in the power play and death overs.
• The pacer took 20 wickets in the IPL 2022 season and was the best bowler for the team after Wanindu Hasaranga.
• Hazlewood is also very economical in the power play, conceding less than seven runs per over.
• The Australian pacer is the spearhead of the RCB attack and is the highest wicket-taker in the power play.

Maxwell selected for the ODI series against India:-

However, there is good news for RCB as Maxwell has been selected for the ODI series against India.

If the all-rounder proves his fitness in these three matches, he can play the entire IPL season for RCB without missing a game.
