Talking about Team India’s T20 squad, this position is not being filled right now. Ishan Kishan suddenly took a break, Sanju Samson and Jitesh Sharma’s place in the team is not confirmed and Rishabh Pant is away from cricket after the accident.

In such a situation, Rahul has not played T20 International since T20 World Cup 2022. He can be seen as a wicketkeeper-batsman in the T20 World Cup.

He Captained The Team in Different Formats:-

Not only this, Rahul was the vice-captain of Team India in the last T20 World Cup. On many occasions, he has captained the team in different formats. He is the captain of Lucknow Super Giants in IPL. For this reason, Rahul can also become a contender for captaincy in T20.

But the condition for this will be that if both Rohit and Hardik are not present. But the claim cannot be denied. That means, if Rahul is in the team’s squad for the World Cup, then Team India can have 4-4 solid captaincy material.

The T20 World Cup will be held in June. IPL 2024 is to be organized from the end of March to the end of May. Squad teams for the World Cup are to be released by May 1. There may be changes in it till May 20.
