WTC 2023: Sanjay Manjrekar’s big statement regarding Rohit Sharma’s form before WTC Final 2023. The final of the World Test Championship (WTC Final 2023) will be played in London from June 7.

Former India cricketer and current commentator Sanjay Manjrekar has given a big statement regarding the poor form of Indian captain Rohit Sharma.

He took Mumbai Indians to the playoffs:-

The 36-year-old star opener has had a disappointing 2023 Indian Premier League campaign, while he led Mumbai Indians to the playoffs, Rohit’s performances with the bat left a lot to be desired.

In 16 matches for the team, Rohit has scored 332 runs at a poor average of 20.75 and a strike rate of 132.80.

However, former India batsman Sanjay Manjrekar believes that the team management should not be bothered with Rohit’s form.

He said, “Keep aside his IPL form as he was not looking in form in the last IPL as well… We saw his brilliant batting in the first Test match against Australia.

I believe that at the stage of his career Rohit Sharma is in, Test cricket seems to be the most exciting format for him, as it has always been for Virat Kohli.”

He said, “At the moment his batting has become almost flawless in Test cricket. We have seen only one problem in Test matches – sometimes he gets out playing pull shots.

Rohit, in fact, had a poor IPL campaign from 2022 when he failed to even cross the 300-run mark.

He scored only 268 runs in 14 matches. In fact, Rohit’s last 400+ run came in season 2019, when he scored 405 runs in 15 matches.
