The India pacer is facing 20-24 weeks of rehabilitation after the surgery. With the World Cup round the corner, BCCI and NCA have suggested surgery to fix his back.
Bumrah will be operating by the same doctor who has worked with Joffra Archer and Shane Bond in the past.

After the surgery, Bumrah will face 20-24 weeks of rehabilitation, which will keep him out of any form of cricket until September. The 2023 World Cup is starting in October.
The report further states that Rowan Schouten will be performing the surgery. The Christchurch-based surgeon is famous among players for having assisted Graham Inglis.
