ENG vs IND: Why did Sam Curran speak before the fifth Test?

London: The fifth and final Test of the last year’s incomplete Test series between India and England will be played at Edgbaston from Friday. Both the teams have geared up for this match. But the hosts’ young all-rounder Sam Curran, who was a part of the four-match series last year, believes that the Indian team will have to bear the loss in the absence of captain Rohit Sharma. In such a situation, the Indian team will have to start with Cheteshwar Pujara as an opener.

England will benefit if Rohit Sharma doesn’t play

Sam Curran said, not playing Rohit Sharma will be beneficial for England. But Pujara is in excellent form. He has scored a lot of runs in the County Championship. He has faced the new ball many times, so if he starts the innings then it will be good for Team India. And has a great record and he is a great player. But England will get the benefit of the absence of the top order players of the Indian team.

England has a psychological edge

Sam Curran further said, “England is feeling good despite going down 1-2 in the first four matches of the series as they recently beat a strong team like New Zealand by a margin of 3-0.” Curran said, under the leadership of Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum, the England team is playing fearless cricket. This is the best time to play against India. The fear of defeat has gone from inside the team and the England team is going into the match with better preparation.
