England chased the target in a memorable way, so many records were broken

Edgbaston: Those who watched the recently concluded Test series against New Zealand had come to know that the England team will play with an aggressive attitude under the supervision of new coach Brendon McCullum. England chased down their best target in Test cricket. And chased down a target of 359 against Australia at Leeds, their previous best run chase, before chasing 378 against India.
The successful chase of 378 runs is the biggest in Test cricket against India. Earlier in 1977 in Perth, Australia chased down the target of 339 runs, which was the biggest run chase.
