Fran Wilson Retires From International Cricket

Fran Wilson, who was a part of England’s 2017 World Cup winning team, has decided to give time to her international career. Wilson, however, would continue to compete in the Rachel Hehowe Flint Trophy, the Charlotte Edwards Cup and The Hundred.

Fran Wilson’s Highest Individual ODI Score of 85 Was Achieved vs Pakistan

The 29-year-old played 33 ODIs, 30 T20Is and one Test for England in a career spanning almost 11 years. He earned his first cap for his country against Sri Lanka in November 2010. Fran Wilson’s highest individual ODI score of 85 was achieved vs Pakistan.

In T20Is, he scored his highest score of 43 not out against Pakistan in 2016. Wilson is also known for his fielding abilities. To sum up the point, in June 2019, he applied a blinder at backward point to remove Hayley Matthews. He played his last international match against New Zealand in March this year.

“I am incredibly proud to have played for my country for the past 10 years and now seems the right time to step away. I am looking forward to the challenges that domestic cricket will bring to the next chapter of my playing career.

Playing for England pushes you to the limit and I am grateful for the experiences that have made me better on and off the pitch. The memories I have made with some wonderful teams are ones I will always cherish and cherish. I want to thank everyone who has been a part of my England trip,” she said.

Fran has Served his Country for More than a Decade and he has Achieved Everything Else on his Work

England women’s head coach Lisa Keightley said: “Fran Wilson has served her country for over a decade and she can be very proud of what else she has achieved at her job. In the job. In my time I really enjoy working.

She makes such a positive impact on the group. He is a real team player, he is very popular. And we will really miss him as part of our team. “Retiring from international cricket is a very difficult decision. But our loss will be the advantage of the domestic game.
