IND vs AUS: From Selfie to Shaking Hands With Players, What did PM Modi do in One And a Half Hour?

The first day of the Ahmedabad Test was different from a regular Test match. This is because Prime Minister Narendra Modi had reached the stadium to watch this test match. He was accompanied by the Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony Albanese. Due to the presence of these two, the noise of the stadium was also getting louder.

The Prime Ministers of India and Australia reached the stadium at 8.30 am as per their scheduled time. So that there is no delay in starting the match. Along with these two, Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and almost all the top BCCI officials were present to welcome them.

Historic Photo of Both the PMs Clicked at Narendra Modi Stadium

Artist Falguni Ben performed on the field. Meanwhile, the artists also performed Garba. After the colorful program, PM Modi made Rohit Sharma wear the test cap for this match, while Australian PM Anthony Albanese gave the test cap to Steve Smith. After this, the historic photo of the two captains – both the PMs was clicked at the Narendra Modi Stadium, in which all were seen smiling and raising their hands.

Modi and Albanese then took a round of the ground in a special buggy made on top of a golf car. Meanwhile, both the teams came on the field. Captain Rohit Sharma introduced the PM to all the players of the team. In the national anthem before the match, Modi ji stood on the ground with the players and encouraged them.

Sitting in the stands for a while, both of them watched the match and clicked selfies and then left the stadium at 10 am as both the vip’s had to leave for Mumbai at 10.30 am. Modi ji stayed on the field for 1.30 hours, but whatever he did in this one and a half hour was recorded in the pages of history.
