IND vs SA, 2nd Test: Team India’s defeat against Australia in the final of the World Cup 2023 is still not coming out of the minds of the Indian players. First Rohit Sharma and now KL Rahul have given statements regarding the World Cup. He has said that when we retire, we should not only remember the bilateral series, but should also remember our career because we have won the World Cup.
KL Rahul told in Star Sports’ Believe series:-
Wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul told Star Sports ahead of the second Test match to be played against South Africa in the Believe Series, “After 10 or 15 years when we retire, we will not remember our career for bilateral series. World Cup That’s the only thing we’ll remember. We have that extra fire inside us to take a few steps forward next time.” The Indian team has not been able to win a trophy in a single ICC event since 2013.

Rahul was not a part of even a single ICC winning team :-
The Indian team won the last ICC tournament at a time when KL Rahul had not made his debut. In such a situation, he does not know how it feels after winning an ICC event. He wants to taste that taste, because currently his team has only Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and R Ashwin, who have won the ICC title for the country. In such a situation, KL Rahul has said that when any tournament comes next, he wants to see the country win.
