New Delhi. England’s dashing opener Jason Roy has played a blistering innings in the Pakistan Super League. On the basis of Roy’s record-breaking innings, his team has set a new record in PSL. The innings played by right-handed batsman Jason Roy at a strike rate of 230 runs overturned Babar Azam’s century innings. Quetta Gladiators chased down the mammoth target of 241 runs with 10 balls to spare. This is the biggest score chased by any team in the history of PSL.

Captain Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bat first. On the basis of Babar’s century, Peshawar Zalmi scored 240 runs for 2 wickets. Right-handed batsman Babar scored 115 runs in 65 balls with the help of 15 fours and 3 sixes. Opener Syam Ayub scored 74 runs in 34 balls. Rovman Powell returned unbeaten after scoring 35 runs off 18 balls. This is the eighth century of Babar’s T20 career.

Jason Roy Scored Runs at a Strike Rate of 230

Chasing the target of 241 runs set by Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators scored 243 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 18.2 overs and won the match by 8 wickets. Explosive opener Jason Roy scored an unbeaten 145 off 63 balls with the help of 20 fours and 5 sixes. Mohammad Hafeez scored an unbeaten 41 off 18 balls, while Will Sameed scored 26 and Martil Guptill returned to the pavilion after scoring 21 off 8 balls.

Jason Roy Played the Biggest Innings of PSL

Earlier, a score of 207 runs was chased in the Pakistan Super League, which was the biggest. Multan Sultans team made this record last year i.e. in 2022 against Lahore Qalandars. This is the fourth biggest run chase in T20 cricket. The innings played against Peshawar Zalmi is the biggest innings by any player in the Pakistan Super League. Earlier, in the year 2019, Colin Ingram had scored an inning of 127 against Quetta Gladiators for Karachi Kings. Jason Roy was adjudged Player of the Match for his stormy innings.
