MI announces team name and logo for T20 leagues of UAE and South Africa

Reliance Industries Limited, which is owned by IPL franchise Mumbai Indians. Today announced the names and logos of two new franchises to join the ONE family of Mumbai Indians. MI team will also play in UAE’s International League T20 and South Africa T20 League. The name ‘MI Emirates’ for the T20 league of the UAE and ‘MI Cape Town’ for the Cricket South Africa T20 league is the name of the team.

Mumbai Indians have a distinct identity in T20 leagues around the world

‘Mi Emirates’ and ‘Mi Cape Town’ – these names have been chosen because these teams will be from the same cities. That’s how Mumbai Indians got their name. The teams, ‘Mi Emirates’ or phonetically “My Emirates” and ‘My Cape Town’, are dedicated to fans of both Emirates and Cape Town. Mumbai Indians have a different identity in T20 leagues around the world. And in the same way these two teams will also get recognition.
