South African batsman and former captain Mignon du Preez has announced her retirement from all international T20 cricket. She had already said that she would be away from longer formats after the ODI Women’s World Cup earlier this year. And now she is retiring from T20 international matches. The South African has had a career of 16 years.

She finishes with 154 ODIs, 114 T20Is, and one Test – in which she captained and scored a hundred – to her name. Her last appearance for South Africa was in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in August.
“Fifteen years of international cricket, WOW, what a blessing it has been,” du Preez said in a statement. “It’s never an easy decision to step away from something you love as much as I love cricket, but I know in my heart that the time is right for me to announce my retirement from all forms of international cricket.
