WI vs ENG: West Indies team announced for T20 series against England, Andre Russell returns

Andre Russell returns: West Indies Cricket Board has announced the squad for the first three matches of the upcoming 5-match T20 series against England on 10 December. The biggest and most popular name in this squad is all-rounder Andre Russell. Andre has returned to the West Indies team after almost two years.

Andre Russell is T20 specialist :-

Russell participates in T20 leagues around the world and has proved his mettle everywhere. He is close to 8000 runs in the shortest format of cricket. Andre Russell scored these runs at an excellent strike rate of 167, apart from this he has wreaked havoc in bowling as well. He has taken more than 400 wickets in T20 cricket.

Matthew Ford also joined the team :-

The new West Indies team also includes Matthew Ford along with Russell, who has impressed everyone in the recent home T20 season in the ODI series against England. Sherfane Rutherford has also been included in the squad, along with spinner Gudakesh Moti after recovering from injury. Moti was out of the T20 series against India due to injury.

Shai Hope was made vice-captain of the team :-

Shai Hope has also been made the vice-captain of the T20 team after captaining the West Indies ODI team. He will play the role of Rovman Powell’s deputy in the series against England. The squad for the last two T20 matches will be announced later.
