Zaka Ashraf signs to host ICC Champions Trophy 2025, but this is a big question

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made a big announcement on December 15 regarding the hosting of ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The board has said that it has signed a hosting rights agreement with the ICC for the 2025 Champions Trophy in Dubai. The agreement for this competition was signed by Zaka Ashraf, who currently heads the Cricket Management Committee that runs PCB affairs.

PCB said in a statement:-

“The agreement was signed by ICC General Counsel Jonathan Hall along with Zaka Ashraf, Chairman of the PCB Management Committee, at an event at the ICC Headquarters,” the PCB said in a statement. Pakistan last hosted an ICC event in 1996. Was done. At that time Pakistan hosted the ODI World Cup along with India and Sri Lanka. Now after almost 30 years, Pakistan has again got the hosting of an ICC event.

However, the question is whether the Indian team will tour Pakistan. India and Pakistan clash only in ICC events, but there has not been a bilateral series between the two countries for more than a decade.

The Indian team did not even go to Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023, but now whether BCCI will have to bow down during the ICC event, only time will tell. Everyone is also waiting for the response of BCCI.

Teams qualifying for ICC Champions Trophy 2025 :-

Let us tell you that the 8 teams have qualified for ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Apart from host Pakistan, they include teams from Australia, India, South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, England and Bangladesh.
